September Brings Good News For Drivers Who Can’t Break Habit of Cell Phone Use

September Brings Good News For Drivers Who Can’t Break Habit of Cell Phone Use-blog submitted by ticketbust.com, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.

This month, the Governor, Jerry Brown vetoed the bill which would have implemented harsher penalties for drivers who violated the hands free cell phone laws.

The bill if passed would have significantly increased the fine amounts for cell phone (and texting tickets also) tickets and more importantly would have caused a point to be added onto the driving record for any cell phone ticket received after the first.

The current cost of a cell ticket is upwards of $100 (after adding in additional court fees to the base bail amount) and Governor Jerry Brown apparently felt the current cost of a cell phone ticket was already a sufficient enough deterrent for drivers. –  blog submitted by ticketbust.com, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.
