Don’t Get Busted at a Railroad Crossing: Dos and Don’ts of Crossing the Tracks

Don’t Get Busted at a Railroad Crossing: Dos and Don’ts of Crossing the Tracks blog submitted by ticketbust.com, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.

This week’s fiery crash involving a passenger train and a truck in Southern California is an important reminder of the dos and don’ts of crossing a railroad track.

If you can see a train or hear the warning signals of a train’s approach:

  • stop – at the limit line or before crossing the first track
  • keep your distance – at least 15 feet from the rail
  • wait – never go around or under any railroad it crossing gate while the gate is closed

And you know those red light camera tickets? You can get a similar ticket in the mail for failing to stop for a train, so just remember to stop, keep your distance, and wait. – blog submitted by ticketbust.com, helping drivers contest and dismiss their traffic tickets.

If you get cited for a red light photo ticket, contact us at www.TicketBust.com or call us at (800) 850-8038.
